Chunky Blankets are back!! (Bring your own yarn!) @ The Creative Studio by Rustic Girl Painting

You guys asked for it so here it is! Back this year is our fall/winter Chunky blanket class. YOU PROVIDE YOUR OWN YARN (THIS IS VERY SPECIFIC YARN SO PLEASE READ CLOSELY!) you will need 3 THREE skeins (72 yards each) of BERNAT BLANKET extra thick! (Not extra, but extra THICK) The yarn WILL BE THE THICKNESS OF YOUR THUMB. It is very thick!
This yarn IS AVAILABLE LOCALY at JoAnn’s (it is located in a bin in the aisle or in the back. You can use coupons if it is not on sale and you need 3 skeins of the 72 yard. IT IS EACH ATTENDEES RESPONSIBILITY TO GET THE YARN IN TIME FOR THE CLASS. It sells out locally FAST the further into fall/winter we go. You can order it online also.

PLEASE NOTE THE NEW COLORS HAVE CHANGED TO 65 YARDS NOT 72. I RECOMMEND 4 SKIENS FOR THOSE.

Bernat has a new yarn that works also, but it is a smaller yardage per skein. You can also buy the Bernat Blanket BIG, JUST BUY ENOUGH SKEINS TO EQUAL APPROX 216 YARDS

Ages recommended for this class is 15 and up. Younger really struggle with the full time it takes to make a blanket in one setting.

Have you always thought the big fuzzy knit blankets you see on Pinterest would be far too hard to make on your own? Have you, like so many, tried to make it but simply gave up? Join us at the Creative Studio for a demo, instructions and a live person who will walk around and make sure you CAN do it! You will have 4 full hours of studio time to work on your blanket and 85% of attendees complete the blanket during the class! All you need to bring is your chosen yarn in the size and quantity we recommend. This is done WITHOUT any hoods, needles or tools other then your hands. You are welcome to bring a snack and any beverage. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL FOOD AND DRINK is covered and non messy as we are working with large amounts of yarn.
Yarn we recommend is by Bernat Blanket EXTRA THICK yarn in the 72 yard skein, you will need THREE! Please see the photos attached to see the exact label you are looking for. If you choose to go with any other yarn please note I cannot guarantee the outcome of your experience or blanket. For frame of referance the yarn should be about the thickness of your thumb.
